Savvy strategy, big-time media connections, business results... and a fine filet of sole, too

With more than two decades of success in public relations, Petrina Fisher Wells combines experience, talent and expertise in ways that enable her to deliver superior results with attention to the bottom line.
Her vision: Make sure clients get the best-possible outcome for the time and money they invest. One way she ensures that is staying small. At Wells Marketing, clients will never be handed off to junior account reps. Wells personally oversees each campaign, with every client getting her full attention.
Whether devising a social media or Internet marketing campaign or splashing a client’s product or announcement across the pages of leading publications and top TV shows, Wells thrives on delivering in ways that are measured by consumer response, not just PR “hits.”
She is known as the go-to person for campaigns on product launches, branding and full-scale press/Internet marketing campaigns. “It’s a partnership,” Wells says. “I get to thoroughly know your company and your competitors, and together we’ll do things that will move your business forward.”
Some of her past clients include then Atlantic Recording artists Rolling Stones; The Eagles and Aretha Franklin, Jockey menswear and Cointreau Liqueur (now Remy-Cointreau).
Moving from New York to Philadelphia, she headed public relations at the legendary Bellevue Hotel. From there she entered Hahnemann University earning a Master’s Degree in Systems Theory Family Therapy and spent six years as a therapist – “and believe me, those skills have come into play at meetings where a product launch is looming and everybody has a different idea about how to proceed,” Wells says. “Those are the times I work to get everybody on the same page, and to make sure everybody agrees it’s the right page.”
In 2001 she returned to PR, joining Bard Advisors where she was VP of Business Development and reentered the field of communications, about which she is most passionate. “If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d still be doing exactly this!”
She is past president and a current board member for Resources for Children’s Health, a non- profit. She is also a board member at New York’s Nicholas Andre Dance Company and serves on the committee of Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis.
In her spare time – and there is occasionally some, she says – Wells takes ballroom dance lessons, and the certified skipper will (quickly!) consider any sailing invitations. She also enjoys not-too-rocky hikes (the flatter the better!) and dinner parties for friends and family, who allegedly love her garlic-infused pasta dishes.
Ask her about her current favorite recipe – or how to boost revenues at your company. She can help with either, or both.
